Jason BeDuhn regarding Revelation 7 and the Great Crowd
by Sauerkraut ina while ago i sent an e-mail to jason beduhn, that the society is quite fond of.
they like to quote him in publications.
so when i started researching the great crowd and the accuracy of the earthly hope doctrine i thought i might write him and ask him what the exact meaning of "before the throne" (revelation 7:9) and "temple" (7:15) is.

Stop fighting about Oompa.
by Robert7 ini am writing this because i am so upset about the bickering and fighting that is going on about oompa.
this was an amazing wonderful, peaceful, giving man who never met a strager who is now deceased and you are taking his name and running all over the place with it using it for your own agendas.
he is not a statistic.

Things WILL get better.
It takes a while to get used to life outside the Borg. It's not easy. And you're not alone.
Are you willing to disclose where abouts you live so someone nearby can get into contact with you? Someone in the same state/country as you? So someone can contact you and be there when you need another exJW to talk to. And so they can check on you in case you feel you are on the edge.
Hang in there. Things WILL get better.

What Can We Do to Show How We Cared about Oompa?
by Band on the Run ini know others have posted on the original thread.
several people, including myself, would like to do something concrete to show our concerns re: his treatment by the jw, and how important he was to all of us here.
i suggested a handwritten note, on behalf of the whole community here, flowers, and perhaps a donation to a charity that helps people get back on their feet.

I think sending a card to his sons (who are out) is a fitting tribute.
They may not be able to read them all now, but weeks or months from now, when everything has settled down and they have a quiet moment, they can sit down and read our cards, and know that their father touched so many lives.
RIP Eric/Oompa

Ancient Greeks used to sacrifice humans on top of the mountains to Baal and other deities.
Umm, no they didn't. Learn a bit about the ancient Greeks and their gods.
